The Tradition Company started in 2006 when Atlanta native Matt Bowman opened his first Tradition Trees Christmas tree lot in the Little Five Points neighborhood of Atlanta. Word quickly spread about the high quality trees and convenient services of the company and Matt quickly expanded to 3 locations in 2007.
That same year Matt incorporated his landscaping business into Tradition Property Services providing top notch landscape maintenance and handyman service to Atlanta homes and businesses.
In 2010, the company acquired several leases in Jackson County North Carolina where they continue to grow Fraser Fir Christmas trees.
In 2011 the Georgia Farm to Table brand was launched as the company set up ‘pop-up’ produce stands for the spring and summer months with the flagship stand at the corner of 10th and Peachtree in Midtown.
The pop-up model proved challenging but Matt never gave up on modernizing the timeless farm-stand business model for the 21st century. As Tradition Trees grew, Matt continued to search for the right opportunity to launch Tradition Market and Garden.
In 2018 Matt acquired the Farmer D Organics Garden Center and Avril's Car Wash and the concept finally had a home at 2154 Briarcliff Road!
The Tradition Company employs over 100 people through all its operations and is proud to call Atlanta home! We look forward to showing you that Life is Better with Tradition!
